Coenzyme Q10 is vitally important for health and longevity

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a naturally occurring oil-soluble, vitamin-like substance which is absolutely essential for optimum health and longevity. Also known as ubiquinone, CoQ10 is found in virtually every cell in the body, primarily in cellular mitochondria, and it is a vital component of the electron transport chain which generates 95 percent of the body's energy via adenosine triphosphate (ATP).

How Soy Might Decimate the Health of Your Unborn Baby and the Fertility of Future Generations by Dr. Mercola

If you're pregnant or thinking of having a baby, you might want to take a look at some new research on the effects of plant estrogens, such as that found in soy, on a developing fetus.
According to Medical News Today, a paper published in Biology of Reproduction suggests that exposure to estrogenic chemicals in the womb or during childhood has the potential to negatively affect a woman's fertility as an adult.
This coincides with earlier research on neonatal effects of exposure to plant or environmental estrogens. In studies with mice, researchers found that causes of infertility included:
•Failure to ovulate
•Reduced ability of the oviduct to support embryo development before ovulation, and
•Failure of the uterus to support effective implantation of blastocyst-stage embryos

The All Natural Cause of Global Warming

One of the strongest arguments for Global Warming is the warming trend that started in the 1970Œs. Since then the average temperature of the Earth has increased by about 0.5‹C. When the numerous graphs showing CO2 levels increasing are displayed along with the temperature rise, people make the easy comparison that one causes the other.
Anyone who studies the Earthfs climate would not be convinced by such a shallow argument because it is very clear from even the most basic study that the Earthfs climate is constantly undergoing change. It has been difficult to explain why the Earth started warming in the 1970Œs and that lack of explanation has allowed the warmist crowd to convince many people that the CO2 emissions of mankind are the cause.
The challenge for science has been to find the natural cycle of the Earth that is the cause of the warming trend for the past 40 year. It took a while, but science has been up to the task.
The rest of the article:
http://www.tbyil.com/Global_Warming.htm
My comment: Regardless of what role man plays in global warming, what worries me the most is manmade toxin emissions and pollution - which I think is a much greater threat than global warming.

Nature fights back as pesticide resistant bugs devour GM Monsanto corn with a vengeance

Corn which has been genetically engineered by Monsanto to kill western corn rootworm is reportedly being devoured by those pests with a vengeance. Thanks to the heavy reliance on the genetically modified crops, the tiny rootworm pest has overtaken fields, outsmarting the genetic engineering that was supposed to keep it away. According to recent reports, pesticide-resistant rootworms are showing up weeks earlier and more voraciously than ever.
Mike Gray, a professor of entomology with the University of Illinois reported: “We're still early in the growing season, and the adults are about a month ahead of schedule,” explained Gray. “I was surprised to see them – and there were a lot.”
Reports of increasing rootworm damage began coming in last after Iowa State University researcher, Aaron Gassmann, published a study saying that the rootworms were becoming resistant to the product, creating so-called “superbugs” in Iowa fields.

FDA mandates new safety warnings for statin drug: risks of memory loss, diabetes and muscle pain

FDA mandates new safety warnings for statin drug: risks of memory loss, diabetes and muscle pain
by Tony Isaacs
(The Best Years in Life) Federal health officials added new safety alerts to the prescribing information for statin drugs earlier this year, citing increased risks of memory loss, diabetes and muscle pain. It is the first time the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has officially linked statins to cognitive problems like forgetfulness and confusion, though such problems have been reported for several years.

Statin drugs, which are widely known as cholesterol-lowering medications, are among the most widely prescribed drugs in the world with annual sales of tens of billions of dollars. In the United States alone, almost 32 million people regularly take statins. Despite the new warnings and several studies linking statins to increased incidences of a wide variety of health problems, FDA officials and some mainstream medical professionals said the new warnings should not scare people away from statins.

Prescription drugs' side effects are especially dangerous for the elderly

Prescription drugs' side effects are especially dangerous for the elderly

(NaturalNews) We live in a world full of drugs whose primary objective is to relieve symptoms instead of heal. Most of these drugs come with side effects, some of which may be quite dangerous. That is especially true when it comes to drugs prescribed for the elderly who are the largest consumers of prescription and over the counter drugs.

When waiting to see a doctor, it is common to share the waiting room with prescription drug salespeople with suitcases full of the latest "drugs of choice." Too many doctors get their drug education from these salespeople who often have no medical background. The end result is that when we go to the doctor, whether to address a specific condition or for a routine check-up, more often than not, we come out of the office with one or more prescriptions.

A Brief Discussion on Oleander's Effectiveness Against Cancer

A Brief Discussion on Oleander's Effectiveness Against Cancer

by Tony Isaacs
In a recently published article*, Naturopathic PhD Marc Swanepoel discussed how mainstream chemo and certain alternative cancer therapies used the mechanism of increasing Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) to put cancer cells under oxidative stress and why he believed such a course was doomed to failure for cancers which had advanced beyond a very early stage. In this follow-up discussion from the Yahoo Oleandersoup group, Dr. Swanepoel and I discuss how Oleander ties in to ROS and how it actually fights cancer in multiple ways.

Apoptosis/Necrosis versus Cancer as a Defense Mechanism

Apoptosis/Necrosis versus Cancer as a Defense Mechanism

And Why I Consider N-Acetyl Cysteine Essential for Beating Cancer
by Marc Swanepoel, Naturopathic PhD

All cells require energy in the form of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP). This substance cannot be stored in the cells and at any stage we have enough to last for about 3 to 5 seconds. It is thus a continuous process. A few billion years ago, primitive cells (eukaryotes) evolved the process of producing ATP energy without the use of oxygen by a process of glycolysis. Later on in the evolutionary process, when oxygen became part of the atmosphere, certain types of bacteria evolved a much more efficient way of producing ATP by utilizing oxygen through a process known as oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS). This new process was roughly 20 times more efficient than the glycolysis process.
