(The Best Years in Life) Marijuana was once medically used in tinctures, prescribed by AMA doctors, and sold in legitimate pharmacies. Only it then was properly called hemp or cannabis. Then came the Marijuana Tax Act (MTA) to begin tolling the death knell for hemp in all forms, despite its having been used centuries for many purposes.
This coup topped off bizarre false propaganda of marijuana's dangers, generated by industrial vested interests involving government insiders to keep the hemp plant's amazingly wide array of products from competing with their interests.
