Supercharge Your Health for Pennies a Day by Making Your Own Superfood Powder Blend
by Tony Isaacs

(The Best Years in Life) Superfood powders are one of the most effective ways to supercharge your health - providing a wealth of healthy nutrition in the form of plant-based vitamins, minerals and other other nutrients as well as proteins and compounds which provide specific health benefits for cells throughout the body.

Superior commercial superfoods powders are widely available; however they typically cost $4 to $5 or more per ounce. When you make your super food powder mix at home, you can do so for only about $1 per ounce.  Read More.

The All Natural Cause of Global Warming

The All Natural Cause of Global Warming
by John Kehr

(The Best Years in Life) One of the strongest arguments for Global Warming is the warming trend that started in the 1970′s. Since then the average temperature of the Earth has increased by about 0.5°C. When the numerous graphs showing CO2 levels increasing are displayed along with the temperature rise, people make the easy comparison that one causes the other.

Anyone who studies the Earth’s climate would not be convinced by such a shallow argument because it is very clear from even the most basic study that the Earth’s climate is constantly undergoing change. It has been difficult to explain why the Earth started warming in the 1970′s and that lack of explanation has allowed the warmist crowd to convince many people that the CO2 emissions of mankind are the cause.  Read More.

Potassium Makes Sodium Your Friend

 Potassium Makes Sodium Your Friend

(The Best Years in LifeNature is all about balance. The human body reflects this principle in every small aspect as well as in its main orchestration, the constant search for homeostasis. Yet in Western medicine this theme of balance is often overlooked, and each body part or system is viewed in isolation. This approach produces some strange conclusions, one of which is that sodium is your enemy.  In fact, sodium is necessary to sustain life and produce energy.  But sodium must be balanced with potassium.  Read More.

Natural Help for Overactive Bladder

 Natural Help for Overactive Bladder
by Tony Isaacs

(The Best Years in LifeOveractive bladder, or urinary incontinence, is one of the most common chronic conditions in the US. People of all ages and genders are susceptible to overactive bladder, though the condition is seen most often in women. It is difficult to get an exact number of how many people experience overactive bladder because many cases go unreported - probably due to understandable but needless embarrassment. The good news is that relief from overactive bladder may be found in simple exercises, dietary and lifestyle changes and items found in nature's fields and meadows.  Read More.

The American Cancer Society: Running WITH the Money and AWAY From the Cure - Part 1

The American Cancer Society:  Running WITH the Money and AWAY From the Cure - Part 1
by Tony Isaacs

(The Best Years in Life) Prior to the advent of patentable and more profitable antibiotics, medicines containing silver were the most widely prescribed infection fighters by doctors and there were no fewer than 34 different approved prescription and over the counter medications which contained silver. Now, after the elimination of most large particle and silver nitrate products and after improved technology has made nano-sized particles that require far less parts per million, colloidal silver proponents claim that it is safer and more effective than ever. At the same time, however, it has become the subject of increasing attacks by mainstream medicine, which labels colloidal silver as a scam, as quackery and as a dangerous substance with no proven value.  Read More.

Is Dark Chocolate Really a Superfood?

Is Dark Chocolate Really a Superfood?

(The Best Years in LifeDon't go grabbing Mars bars or Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and stuffing yourself like you did during childhood Halloween tours. That's not the stuff of superfoods. I'm talking dark bitter-sweet and even bitter, pure chocolate.

It's best to sellect chocolates labeled Fair Trade and organic with at least 70% cacao or cocoa (both words indicate the same bean) and no sweeter than bitter-sweet. The more bitter the better.
Anything less is too watered down with milk and saturated with addictive and unhealthy refined sugar or worse, high fructose corn syrup (HFCS).

Actually, the healthiest form of cacao is cacao nibs, small bitter pieces of cacao that you can nibble on or put into coffee or top off a bowl of plain whole milk organic yogurt with raw honey or throw them into a smoothie.  Read More.

Is the Komen Foundation Running for a Cure or for Themselves?
by Tony Isaacs

(The Best Years in Life) Each year sees more and more widely publicized "Race for the Cure" and other breast cancer events staged by the Komen Foundation. In 2013 over 100 such events have been scheduled. As this $400 million per year giant pink gorilla of cancer charities continues to grow, the question that begs answering is: "Is the Komen Foundation really running (or walking) for a cure for breast cancer or are they instead running mostly to keep their foundation going and the money flowing in?"  Read More.

Homemade Sour Cream

Homemade Sour Cream
Have you ever checked the label on store bought sour cream?  Chances are that it contains a list of ingredients such as: cultured cream, grade A whey, modified food starch, sodium phosphate, sodium citrate, guar gum, carageenan, calcium sulfate, potassium sorbate (preservative) and locust bean gum.

That is not real sour cream!  And, besides the fact that the dairy may have come from cows given growth hormones and antibiotics, "modified food starch" is often used to hide the fact that the product contains dangerous MSG.

Try this healthy low fat substitute in place of store bought sour cream on potatoes, dips, beans, vegetables, fruit, tortillas, etc.

One pan, pot, skillet, or slow-cooker is all you need to prepare this healthy and tasty no-fuss family dinner. Once the water has boiled away, you are left with perfectly al dente pasta in a creamy sauce that coats every strand. Likely to become a family favorite!

Study Finds That Anxiety May Originate in Your Gut, Not in Your Head

Study Finds That Anxiety May Originate in Your Gut, Not in Your Head
by Tony Isaacs

(The Best Years in Life) We're all familiar with the term "gut feeling". As it turns out, the term may be more apt than we realize. In recent years, research has increasingly identified the role the gut can have on mood and behavior, leading many scientists to refer to the gut as the "second brain". Now, for the first time, researchers have found conclusive evidence that conditions such as anxiety can originate in the gut instead of the brain.

In a study published in the journal Gastroenterology, researchers at McMaster University found that bacteria residing in the gut influence brain chemistry and behavior. The research is important because several common types of gastrointestinal disease are frequently associated with anxiety or depression. In addition there has been speculation that some psychiatric disorders, such as late onset autism, may be associated with an abnormal bacterial content in the gut.  Read More.

Modern Medicine versus Nature in Treating Cancer

Modern Medicine versus Nature in Treating Cancer
by Tony M. Isaacs

(The Best Years in Life) In contrast to at least 6000 years of the practice of natural medicine, Western medicine treats the body as a collection of parts instead of as a synergistic organism. When it comes to treating broken bones and injured body parts, mainstream Western medicine is unequaled. When this same approach is used to treat illness and diseases such as cancer - fixing or repairing the parts where the symptoms of underlying illnesses manifest themselves, modern medicine fails miserably.  Read More

How Three Fateful Actions Helped Lead to the Failure of Today's Mainstream Medicine
by Tony Isaacs

As a result, millions of lives have been lost and many millions more have suffered needlessly. Read More.
