It’s an herbicide from Dow Chemical that marries two of the harshest chemicals known to man in an effort to erase the latest generation of superweeds threatening the future of genetically engineered crops. It’s called Enlist Duo, and it is a blending of 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D), long known to be toxic to people and the environment, with glyphosate, the main ingredient in Roundup, Monsanto’s flagship weed killer.
